WWT = weaning weight- the more positive ASBV will produce lambs that grow quicker to weaning
PWWT = postweaning weight - a higher value will produce faster growing lambs and reach target weights in a shorter time
PFAT = postweaning fat - the more negative the value,the leaner the lambs will be
PEMD = postweaning eye muscle depth - positive values will genetically have more muscle in the loin area and better carcass shape
PFEC = estimates an animals genetic potential for worm burdens. Lower ASBV's are desirable.
TCP = is the new production index replacing CARCASS +. This index has the same breeding objective as carcass + while maintaining eating quality.
LEQ = is the eating quality index targeted at terminal producers interested in improving the meat eating quality of their prime lambs. LEQ is based on the same production targets as Lamb 2020 with the added emphasis on eating quality traits.

In what was an amazing day at BRUAN Poll Dorsets 22nd annual ram sale at Condah, with great support from regular clients and many new purchasers looking to get their hands on an impressive penning of young rams, with industry leading genetics to use in their stud and prime lamb businesses. Resulting in record averages, with 4 stud rams selling to a top price of $7500 to average $5475 and 152 of 154 flock rams selling to a top of $5100 to a long standing client, for an average of $1983, a record at BRUAN with one customer commenting that “prime lamb producers certainly recognise and respect your vision for the poll dorset”

2021 Annual Sale Report
Bruan Poll Dorsets ram sale was met with solid demand from repeat buyers and new clients alike.
The well muscled line up of 2020 drop rams were all above breed and terminal ASBV averages. A great day for all, where ram buyers could buy confidently top industry leading genetics.
Many thanks to selling agents Kerr & Co along with family members who worked tirelessly through out the day.
156 rams offered. 149 flock rams sold to a top of $2600 and average $1548.
8 stud rams offered 3 sold to a top of $7600 for an average of $5666.

147 rams were offered at Bruan Poll Dorsets 2017 sale held on the 16th October,with 127 sold. Top price flock ram $2500 was payed by repeat buyer with Pwwt of 17.2 and Pemd of 3.0
2 stud rams sold to a top price of $4500. This ram is son of Bundarra Downs 133266 with performance data of Wwt 10.8 Pwwt 17.8 and an LEQ of 139. The second ram sold for $3000, a son of Bruan 150002, with Pwwt of 17.0 Pemd of 2.1 with an LEQ of 145.2
Average price for overall sale was $1170.

A very successful ram sale was held on Oct. 21st for Bruan Poll Dorsets. Lot 4 in the Stud Ram section sold for $4300.
143 flock rams sold for a $969 average with rams to a top of $1500 twice.

The 11th annual sale was held on property on Monday the 17th of October 2011.
Eight stud rams sold for an average of $2662 with a top price of $4600 for a
half share in 10-0068. The stud ram had LAMBPLAN breeding values of 2.4 for
mucsle, 8.6 WWT, 13.2 PWWT , -0.6 for PFAT, Carcass + of 196.20 and Lamb
2020 113.70.
A clearance of 141 flock rams to an average of $1030.
